Hindsight REWIND

Reminisce and Reflect with me.  A quick READ.

Springtime nineteen ninety-something.  Families are still watching a shortened NHL season due to the lock out of hockey players by their owners.  It is time for our kids to start learning about teamwork and good sportsmanship.  Let the sports begin!  Everyone hop in the mini-van express this daughter is playing community league soccer two evenings a week at neighboring parks.  Younger siblings are in tow exploring the playground. Hang on tight!  Did she just score a goal? Get down please!  Why is she crying?  Sideline cheerleader and safety supervisor  Mom is on duty again.

Those too windy, wish it would warm up soon, mosquitoes aren’t here yet but you know they are coming, need eyes in the back of my head lovely spring evenings!  What parent hasn’t been there done that?  Yet everyone comes home tired and happy.  At least most of the time!

Hindsight Reflection #1  All kids should have an opportunity to experience sports.

Hindsight Reflection #2  Let them discover what they like to do.

Hindsight Reflection #3  Learning to be a team player will be so important!
