Reminisce and Reflect with me. A quick READ.
April nineteen ninety-something. Full House was popular on TV. Busy working mom of three had a full life of her own. Kindergarten teacher preparing to take her students on a field trip. Just moments before boarding the bus the school daycare notifies her that two of her own children, staying at the daycare, have high fevers. “Could she come and help right now!” Husband out-of-town and no other family around. With no back up and little time to spare this mom sprang into action.
She asked her boss, Principal Kind Heart, to help get her students on the bus. She ran down the hall to the daycare. Quickly dispensed medicine she always carried in her bag just in case. Gave her kids hugs and words of comfort, hopefully enough to last until she returned.
Too late to call in another teacher she had to leave her own sick kids behind because she had work responsibilities. Off she went, guilty mother conscience and all, with a full bus load of children. The field trip was that day in April and life did go on!
